Shop to Save Jobs

The line says "FIGHT THE ECONOMY, SHOP TO SAVE JOBS.", and does this ad make sense to me?

NO!

As a matter of fact, the thought of the first three words doesn't make sense. First, it is a grammatical error. Second, in what way should we fight the economy? Why do we have to fight the economy when in the first place it dictates the movement of the goods and services, and provides a bird’s eye view on the plans of the Government for it? We don’t have to fight it but fight for it. Let us help the Government make their plans realistic for the improvement of the economy a state. And one of what we can do is "SHOP TO SAVE JOBS". What do I mean by this? When we shop, we contribute to the sales, well in fact we also have contributed for the profit of the establishment. Thus, lessens the possibility of fast employee turnover.

People Face Trade offs

When we say trade off, is a situation that involves losing one quality or aspect of something in return  for gaining another quality or aspect. It often implies a decision to be made with full comprehension of both the upside and downside of a particular choice; the term is also used in an evolutionary context, in which the selection process acts as the "decision-maker" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade-off)

Trade off involves decision making. What are the things you're willing to sacrifice to get a thing you want to or you don't want to?

We all face trade offs. I too have experienced it. One example is when I was in my first year in college. It was Friday afternoon and I'm a hard time to decide if I will be going to visit my grandmother in the hospital because she's been confine their for almost a week. But I decided not to go because I want to go home early. Sunday morning When I planned to visit her, a sad news shocked me. My grandma left us already that day. And I am very disappointed to myself because I have given a time to visit her but still I didn't go. Regrets are always in the end. ("Kailan ba naging sa simula?")

Lesson? Be careful on what are you going to decide. Because one wrong decision for a thing that is not worth it, is a regret for a lifetime!
